Buying shoes in Anderlecht, Saint-Gilles, Forest or Molenbeek? Why customers come to the Jeu de Balle
Looking for a shoe store in Anderlecht, or did you type “shoe store Anderlecht Brussels” into a search engine and wonder whether the trip into the centre is worth it? This article is for you, and just as much for anyone living in Saint-Gilles, Forest, Molenbeek, Ixelles or Uccle. Many of our customers travel from those communes to the Place du Jeu de Balle in the Marolles, because at Outlet Chaussures Bruxelles they find in one visit what they would otherwise have to hunt down in several places: a very wide choice, six brands and fixed outlet prices. Below you will find, commune by commune, how to reach us and what is waiting on the shelves.
From Anderlecht: shoe store Anderlecht Brussels or Jeu de Balle?
Anderlecht borders the centre of Brussels, and the Marolles sit on the edge of that centre. If you take the STIB/MIVB metro, tram or bus to Brussels-Midi (South) station, you are a quarter of an hour on foot from the Place du Jeu de Balle. The Jeu de Balle and Chapelle stops are within walking distance of our door.
What you gain from that short trip is choice. In a single visit you can try on Geox and Ecco trainers, dress shoes, boots and Naturino and Primigi children’s shoes, all at fixed outlet prices between €20 and €150. How we buy and why our prices stay low all year round is explained in our article on how our shoe outlet works.
From Saint-Gilles: a quarter of an hour on foot from Brussels-Midi
For people living in Saint-Gilles, Brussels-Midi (South) station is often the natural starting point. From there it is about a quarter of an hour on foot to our shop on the Place du Jeu de Balle, a walk that takes you through the Marolles. If you would rather take the tram or bus, get off at the Jeu de Balle or Chapelle stop.
Combining your visit with a train journey? Read our tips for walking to the shop from Brussels-Midi. And because we are open every day from 9.30 am to 4 pm, Sundays included, you do not have to rearrange your working week.
From Forest: by tram, bus or car to the Marolles
Forest is a little further out, but STIB/MIVB public transport brings you into the neighbourhood. A simple route: travel to Brussels-Midi, then walk the last quarter of an hour. If you come by car, there is paid parking nearby and in the public car parks of the city centre.
If you come from Forest with a clear goal, such as boots for winter, smart shoes for a party or shoes for children who have grown another size, our deep stock works in your favour. There is a good chance you will succeed in one go, and you can try everything on at your own pace in the shop.
From Molenbeek: close to the centre, close to us
Molenbeek lies right up against the centre of Brussels, which also puts it close to the Marolles. By STIB/MIVB metro, tram or bus you get off at the Jeu de Balle or Chapelle stop; on foot, you can turn the journey into a city walk that ends on the square of the flea market.
If you come as a family, you will find both Naturino and Primigi children’s shoes and Geox jackets, which hang on racks next to the shoes. Have a look at our page on Geox jackets beforehand, or simply drop in: trying on and comparing is quickest in the shop.

From Ixelles and Uccle: combine it with the flea market
Ixelles and Uccle are further from the Marolles, but STIB/MIVB trams and buses, or the car, make the journey perfectly manageable. Parking is paid, nearby and in the public car parks of the city centre. Make an outing of it: first the Place du Jeu de Balle flea market, which is held every morning on the square, then the shop.
Sunday is a good day for that, because we are open then too, from 9.30 am to 4 pm. You can read more about the market and the neighbourhood in our guide to a morning in the Marolles; our opening hours and the quietest times to try shoes on have an article of their own.

What you will find here: choice, brands and fixed outlet prices
Our shelves are stacked with boxes up to the ceiling, and that is exactly why customers make the trip. We buy in bulk in Italy, directly from large retail chains, and sell those shoes in our Brussels shop at discount prices. These are new shoes, in their original box, from recent collections.
Our prices are fixed and permanent, all year round: no temporary promotions, no waiting for a particular month. A pair costs roughly €20 to €150, depending on the brand and the model.
- Women: sneakers and trainers, dress shoes, boots and ankle boots, sandals
- Men: sneakers, lace-ups, smart shoes, boots
- Children: Naturino and Primigi shoes, from first steps to school shoes
- Geox jackets, hanging next to the shoes

Frequently asked questions
Is there a shoe outlet in Anderlecht itself?
Our shop is not in Anderlecht but on the Place du Jeu de Balle in the Marolles, right next to the centre of Brussels. From Brussels-Midi (South) station it is about a quarter of an hour on foot; by STIB/MIVB metro, tram or bus, get off at the Jeu de Balle or Chapelle stop.
Are you open on Sundays?
Yes. We are open every day from 9.30 am to 4 pm, Sundays included. On Sunday mornings the flea market is on the square as well, which makes a visit to the Marolles all the more worthwhile.
Can I ask in advance whether my size is in stock?
You can email us via the contact page. Because the stock changes constantly, coming in to try shoes on is in practice the quickest way to be sure; thanks to the wide choice of sizes and models, you will usually find several options.
Are the shoes new and from recent collections?
Yes. They are new shoes in their original box, from recent collections. We buy them in bulk in Italy from large retail chains and sell them in our Brussels shop at fixed discount prices.
Do I have to order online, or can I take my shoes home straight away?
Everything happens in the shop: you try on, choose and leave with your shoes. We have no online store; this website is here to show you the way to the Place du Jeu de Balle.
