Open 7 days a week, Sundays included: opening hours and the best times to visit
If you typed “shoe shop open Sunday Brussels” into a search engine, here is the short answer: Outlet Chaussures Bruxelles is open every day, Sundays included, from 10 am to 3.30 pm. You will find us at Place du Jeu de Balle 40, in the Marolles, right on the square of the flea market. This article sets out our opening hours day by day, the best times to try on shoes in peace, what to know about new deliveries and how to check our hours on a public holiday.
Our opening hours
We are open seven days a week, Monday to Sunday, from 10 am to 3.30 pm. There is no weekly closing day and no shorter opening at weekends: on Saturday and Sunday you will find us at the same times as on weekdays. The one thing to remember is our closing time of 3.30 pm, a little earlier than you might expect.
One exception: on Fridays we close for a lunch break. During summer time we are open from 10 am to 1.45 pm and from 2.45 pm to 3.30 pm; during winter time from 10 am to 12.45 pm and from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. The opening-hours table at the bottom of the page always shows the current times.
| Day | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Monday | 10 am – 3.30 pm |
| Tuesday | 10 am – 3.30 pm |
| Wednesday | 10 am – 3.30 pm |
| Thursday | 10 am – 3.30 pm |
| Friday | 10 am – 12.45 pm and 1.30 pm – 3.30 pm (winter time) 10 am – 1.45 pm and 2.45 pm – 3.30 pm (summer time) |
| Saturday | 10 am – 3.30 pm |
| Sunday | 10 am – 3.30 pm |
These are our usual hours, all year round. We do not work with special periods or late-night openings: every day from 10 am to 3.30 pm the shelves are open and you can try on whatever you like. If you arrive after 3.30 pm we are closed, but the door opens again at 10 the next morning, whatever the day of the week (for public holidays, see below).
The address is easy to remember: Place du Jeu de Balle 40, 1000 Brussels. STIB/MIVB metro, tram and bus services run nearby, with the Jeu de Balle / Vossenplein and Chapelle / Kapellekerk stops close by, and Brussels-Midi (South) station is about a quarter of an hour away on foot. You will find the map, directions and parking information on our Shop and directions page.
Sunday on Place du Jeu de Balle
Sunday has a character of its own on Place du Jeu de Balle. The flea market is held there every morning, on Sundays just as on other days, and our shop looks straight out onto the stalls. So you can stroll round the market first and then step inside to try on shoes, without changing neighbourhood or getting back on public transport.
For many people, Sunday is also the only day when they truly have time. No lunch break running out, no appointment waiting: you can calmly compare a pair of Geox with a pair of Ecco, go back to a model you saw earlier and take a few steps along the aisle. That is exactly what a good shoe purchase needs.

On Sundays you will find the same choice as during the rest of the week: women’s, men’s and children’s shoes from Geox, Ecco, Naturino, Primigi, Valentino and Voile Blanche, from sneakers and trainers to dress shoes, boots and sandals, plus Geox jackets. The prices are the same too: fixed outlet prices from around €20 to €150, all year round. To plan your morning in the area, read our guide to the Jeu de Balle flea market and the Marolles.
Trying on in peace: the best times
The best moment to try on shoes without hurrying is the start of the day, just after we open at 10 am. The aisles are clear, the boxes tidy and we have plenty of time to bring out several sizes. If you are torn between two widths or two models, this is the ideal time to compare them side by side.
In the morning the flea market fills the square with life; it is charming, but you notice it in the surrounding streets as well. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere around the shop, come in the early afternoon, once the market is over, while keeping an eye on our 3.30 pm closing time. In between, any hour is a good hour: the only bad one is when we are closed.

A few simple habits make trying on more efficient, whatever time you come:
- Wear the socks you will actually wear with the shoes.
- Always try both feet and walk a few steps along the aisle.
- Know your shoe size in EU sizing; we can then fetch the right boxes straight away.
- For a child, bring them along: a size on paper is no substitute for trying on.
- Allow half an hour; a good pair is rarely chosen in five minutes.
Passing through Brussels between two trains? In our article on reaching the shop from Brussels-Midi station we explain how to fit a visit into a stopover.
New deliveries
Our shelves never stand still. We buy in bulk in Italy, directly from large retail chains, and new shoes arrive at the shop regularly: brand-new pairs, in their original boxes, from recent collections. We deliberately do not give a fixed delivery day, because it varies; what does not vary is that the choice is renewed week after week.
That has a practical consequence: a model you saw on a Sunday may no longer be there in your size a fortnight later, and a size that was missing may reappear. If you are looking for a particular pair, drop in from time to time or simply pop in whenever you are in the area. Being open daily helps.

Our prices, on the other hand, stay put: they are fixed outlet prices, the same in January as in August, with no time-limited offers. So there is no reason to wait for a particular date; the best time to come is when the pair you need is on the shelf. We explain exactly how we work in our article on our shoe outlet in Brussels.
Public holidays
The hours above are our usual opening hours. On a public holiday, we recommend checking before you set off: look at our Google listing or email us at gihansprl@hotmail.com. We have no telephone number and no social media, so email is the right channel for a question about opening times.
The same applies if you are coming from further away for a particular size or model: an email the day before can save you a disappointment. Our stock changes quickly, but we reply as soon as we can. All our details are gathered on our Contact page, and for the rest of the year it is simple: every day from 10 am to 3.30 pm, we look forward to seeing you on Place du Jeu de Balle.
