Ankle boots and Chelsea boots
The ankle boot is the most versatile shoe of the autumn: it works with jeans, smart trousers or a dress. We have them for women and men, in smooth leather or suede, lace-up, zipped or as Chelsea boots with elastic side panels. For children, a few ankle boots also sit among our kids’ shoes.
Each type of fastening has its advantages:
- Lace-up: adjusts to your foot, useful if you have a high instep.
- Zip: quick to put on and take off, while still holding the ankle well.
- Chelsea: no laces, just as at home with a suit as with jeans.
A Chelsea boot should hold your heel from the very first fitting: the leather softens a little over time, but the elastic does not tighten. To compare styles before you come, read our guide to boots at outlet prices in Brussels.
Knee-high boots
For cold days we have knee-high boots for women, flat or with a low heel, in leather or suede. The tricky part is the calf: a tall boot should zip up without forcing and should not slide down towards the ankle after a few steps.
Try them on with the trousers or tights you will wear in winter. The rest of our women’s range, from sneakers to heels, is on the women’s shoes page.
Lined winter boots
When Brussels turns cold and wet, lined boots take over, for women and men alike. Depending on deliveries, you will find them from Geox, known for its breathable sole, and from Ecco, the Danish brand known for supple leather. Check the sole: it needs enough grip for wet pavements.

Read the label too: waterproof is not the same as water-repellent. A thick lining takes up room, so bring the winter socks you plan to wear. For tips on warm, slip-resistant shoes, see our article on winter shoes for Brussels streets, and complete the look with one of our Geox jackets.
Leather and care
A good pair of boots will see you through several winters if you look after it. A few simple habits go a long way:
- Before the first outing, apply a protector suited to leather or suede.
- After rain, let them dry at room temperature, with newspaper inside.
- Salt marks: wipe with a damp cloth, then condition the leather once it is dry.
- Suede and nubuck: a dedicated brush, never shoe polish.
- Store tall boots upright, with the shaft supported to avoid creases.
The full step-by-step is in our leather shoe care guide. To check whether a boot is real leather, read how to tell real leather from synthetic.
When new boots come in
We receive new deliveries regularly, with no fixed day. Naturally, boots take up most room on our shelves in autumn and winter. Stock moves quickly: a model you saw in your size this week may be gone the next.

Our prices, on the other hand, stay put: from about €20 to €150 depending on the model, all year round. So there is no need to wait for a particular date to buy. Come in the morning, when the flea market fills the square, and take your time trying on.
Boots Brussels: frequently asked questions
Do you have boots for both women and men?
Yes. We have ankle boots, Chelsea boots and lined winter boots for women and men, as well as knee-high boots for women. The range changes with every delivery, so the easiest way to see what is in is to drop by.
Are your boots waterproof?
That depends on the model. Some boots are waterproof, others only water-repellent: the label and the box say which, and we are happy to show you in the store. A protector spray helps leather and suede either way.
How much do boots cost at your store?
Our prices run from about €20 to €150, depending on the brand and model. They are fixed outlet prices, all year round, for brand-new boots.
