Sneakers Brussels: at Outlet Chaussures Bruxelles, Place du Jeu de Balle 40 in the Marolles, the walls are lined with sneakers and trainers for women, men and children, from Geox and Ecco to Voile Blanche and Valentino. Geox is known for its breathable sole, Ecco for supple leather and comfort over long days. Their leather sneakers have clean lines, in white, black, burgundy or blue, and work with jeans as well as smarter trousers. These are pairs you wear every day.

Italian style: Voile Blanche and Valentino

Looking for a sneaker that stands out? Head for the Voile Blanche and Valentino shelves. Voile Blanche makes premium Italian sneakers with a refined style and a character of their own. Valentino sneakers are recognisable by the V logo.

Sneakers for children

For children too we have sneakers by Geox, Naturino and Primigi, with laces or velcro, from small sizes up to teenage sizes. For the playground, pick a leather model that is easy to clean; for PE, a light and supple pair.

Sizes and fitting

Sneakers do not size up the same way across brands: the same size can fit differently from one brand to the next. Trying them on in the store is therefore the best way to choose.

• Try them on with the socks you will wear with them.
• Leave roughly a finger’s width of room in front of your toes.
• Check the heel: it should not slip when you walk.
• Lace up as you normally would and walk a lap of the aisle.
